The Blades of Chaos Review

The Blades of Chaos review by David Edwards

The Blades of Chaos is an excellent sequel.  This book first caught my interest with its relation to Chaos because I read its Predecessor Claws of Chaos.    It does not fall flat like so many other sequels have done to fill in space.

We get to see the change in Kurt as he becomes more the pawn of Chaos as well as a barbarian leader in his own right.  Ursula now has a different path to tread which sets her on a collision course for the the next installment.

The details are great even in the contests and challenges that a leader of chaos war bands have to face.  The constant duels for power and riches that are expected to flourish under his leadership.  But the socialization of the different war bands show just how divided chaos can be but deadly when they unite.

My only complaint is that there is not much history given about the Tomb Kings or Nehekara.  Still there are battles with undead and even some goblin scum to be dealt with.  All in all a good romp in the Warhammer world.
