Costi Gurgu
Costi
Gurgu was born Constantin Gurgu in 1969, in Constanta, Romania. He has a BA in Law at
Titulescu University (Bucharest—Romania) and a Graphic Design and Digital
Imaging Certificate from Westminster College (London—UK). He was the Art
Director of prestigious magazines such as Playboy Magazine, the French fashion
magazine Madame Figaro and Tabu Magazine (for which he created the graphic
concept in 2001). He moved to Canada in 2004 and he is currently teaching
Graphic Design at Humber College (Toronto—Canada).
He sold his first short-story to SF Journal (Bucharest) in 1993 and since then
he sold more than 40 short-stories, novelettes and novellas to various
magazines, almanacs and anthologies. He won 19 awards for his literary work,
edited three anthologies and published one SF story collection entitled “The
Glass Plague” and one fantasy novel entitled “Recipearium”.
His novel has been awarded with Nemira Award and Kult Award.
