Sylvia Engdahl


Sylvia EngdahlSylvia Engdahl (born 1933) is an American science fiction writer. She has published twelve books, including six science fiction novels, three nonfiction books, two science fiction anthologies, and a children's picture book. Ms. Engdahl is best known for her novel Enchantress from the Stars which was a 1971 Newbery Honor book. She taught graduate courses on the Web for Connected Education, a pioneer in online education, 1985-1995. Ms. Engdahl lives in Oregon with her two cats.
