Sylvia Engdahl
Sylvia
Engdahl (born 1933) is an American science fiction writer. She has published
twelve books, including six science fiction novels, three nonfiction books, two
science fiction anthologies, and a children's picture book. Ms. Engdahl is best
known for her novel Enchantress from the Stars which was a 1971 Newbery Honor
book. She taught graduate courses on the Web for Connected Education, a pioneer
in online education, 1985-1995. Ms. Engdahl lives in Oregon with her two cats.
