Thomas Harlan

Thomas HarlanThomas Harlan was born in 1964 and raised in Tucson, Arizona, where his father is one of the world's leading experts on tree rings, and his mother is a botonist and writer. Having been brought up from a tender young age on The Lord of the Rings and other classic works of fantasy, it was perhaps not surprising when (after an art school education) he became a fantasy writer himself.

He won the SF2 Award in 2000 for "Best New Writer" and was also a finalist for the Campbell Award.
