Thomas Harlan
Thomas
Harlan was born in 1964 and raised in Tucson, Arizona, where his father is
one of the world's leading experts on tree rings, and his mother is a botonist
and writer. Having been brought up from a tender young age on The Lord of
the Rings and other classic works of fantasy, it was perhaps not surprising
when (after an art school education) he became a fantasy writer himself.
He won the SF2 Award in 2000 for "Best New Writer" and was also a
finalist for the Campbell Award.
