William C Dietz
William
C Dietz (born 1945) is an U.S. science fiction author who has written 49
novels in the genre. Among Dietz's works is also the novel adaptation of the
highly rated computer and video game Halo: the book was titled The Flood and
released in 2003 Prior to Halo: The Flood, Dietz also wrote three Star Wars
novels that followed the exploits of Kyle Katarn.
William C Dietz grew up in the Seattle area, spent time with the Navy and
Marine Corps as a medic, graduated from the University of Washington, lived in
Africa for half a year, and has traveled to six continents. Dietz has been
employed as a surgical technician, college instructor, news writer, and
television producer, and currently serves as "Director of Public Relations and
Marketing" for an international telephone company. He and his wife live near
Seattle, where they enjoy travelling, boating, snorkeling, and not too
surprisingly, reading books.
